1. What we collect
- Account: your name, email address and a salted hash of your password (never the password itself).
- Health & tracking data you enter: weight, body measurements, birthdate, height, activity level, goals, food log, water and exercise entries, recipes and pantry items.
- Usage: counts of AI feature use (for the daily limits). No advertising trackers, no analytics SDKs, no selling of data — ever.
2. How it's used
Your data is used only to run the app for you: computing targets and trends, sharing recipes/pantry within the household you join, and powering optional AI features. When you use an AI feature, the relevant snippets of your data (e.g. recent intake, weight trend, food preferences) are sent to Anthropic's Claude API to generate the response; Anthropic's API terms govern that processing.
3. Email
Your email is your login identifier. It's used for password reset and verification links — never for marketing.
4. Sharing
Members of your household can see shared recipes, the shared pantry, and your name in shared features (e.g. grocery planning). Nothing is shared outside the household except as described for AI above. The server administrator can manage accounts and data for support purposes.
5. Your rights
- Export: download everything from Me → Your data, any time.
- Delete: delete your account from Me → Danger zone; your personal data is removed immediately.
- Correct: all your profile data is editable in the app.
6. Security & retention
Passwords are stored as salted PBKDF2 hashes; sessions are signed and revocable. Data is kept only while your account exists, plus routine backups.
7. Children
ForkMath is not for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their data.
